Dr. Gomez is a general surgeon specializing in robotic/ laparoscopic, weight loss and colorectal surgery.  He is board certified by the American College of Surgeons and The American College of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

He completed undergraduate premedical studies at New York University, medical studies in the Faculty of Medicine of Valladolid, Spain, and postgraduate surgical training at New York Medical College.  He has also completed a Fellowship training specifically in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Grant Medical Center/ Ohio State University.

Dr. Gomez has special interest in minimally invasive surgery via robotic laparoscopy, including advanced procedures in colon and rectal surgery ie. laparoscopic colon resections for benign and malignant diseases of the colon

Dr. Gomez also performs colonoscopies for diagnostic and treatment purposes, procedures for hemorrhoids, fissures fistulas, as well as advanced techniques for anorectal sphincter dysfunctions and injuries.
